"What is an Apostille?"

An apostille is an official certification that makes your U.S. documents legally recognized in foreign countries. Think of it as an internationally accepted stamp of authenticity.

The apostille process was established under the Hague Convention of 1961, and today over 120 countries honor apostille documents. Without it, a birth certificate, diploma, or legal document issued in the U.S. may not be accepted abroad.

"Does my document need an Apostille?"

Potentially. Here are frequent documents that need to be authenticated:

  • Personal documents... Birth certificates, marriage certificates, divorce decrees, death certificates

  • Educational documents... Diplomas, transcripts, letters from school officials

  • Legal documents... Powers of attorney, court orders, background checks, FBI records

  • Business documents...  Articles of incorporation, corporate resolutions, contracts

  • Adoption documents...  Home studies and related paperwork for international adoption

Not sure if your document qualifies? Contact Mark today for a FREE Apostille Consultation.
