At Mark Orr | Mobile Notary, I strive to provide accurate, reliable, and professional notary services. Your satisfaction matters, and I stand behind the quality of every notarization I perform.

This Refund Policy explains the circumstances under which refunds may be issued.
1. Full Refund for Notarial Errors or Omissions
You will receive a full refund if the notary makes any error or omission during the performance of a notarial act.
Examples include:
-
Incorrectly completed notarial certificate
-
Missing seal or signature
-
Incorrect date
-
Failure to adhere to California notarial requirements
If the error is verified, a full refund will be issued promptly, and the notarial act will be corrected at no additional charge (provided that the correction is legally permissible).
2. Refunds Not Issued for Client-Provided Issues
Refunds will not be issued if the issue arose due to:
-
Incomplete documents
-
Missing or invalid identification
-
Name discrepancies or signing-related issues
-
Client misunderstanding of legal or document requirements
-
Documents rejected for reasons unrelated to the notarial act itself
A notary cannot advise on legal content; therefore, the client is responsible for ensuring their documents are accurate and ready for notarization.
3. Cancellations & Missed Appointments
Client-initiated cancellations may be refunded according to the following:
-
24+ hours notice: Full refund
-
Less than 24 hours' notice: Refund minus any travel/preparation fees already incurred
-
No-show: No refund (travel fees and time cannot be recovered)
If the notary must cancel due to an emergency or unavoidable circumstance, a full refund for prepaid service will be issued, or the appointment may be rescheduled at no additional charge.
4. Travel Fees
Travel fees are typically non-refundable, except when:

-
The notary cancels the appointment
-
The notary arrives late by more than 30 minutes without prior communication
-
A notarial error occurs that cannot be corrected
If travel is completed but the notarization cannot proceed due to client issues (e.g., no ID, incomplete documents), the travel fee remains non-refundable.
5. Refund Processing Time
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method and may take 3–7 business days, depending on the payment processor or your financial institution.
